- TIME STARTS NOW -

STEP 1: INITAL CONSULT 

Take your time to really delve into what your client and their skin needs so you can find the perfect product matches for them. A mixologist needs to know the skin dietary restrictions so be sure to check the contraindications and any allergies.

STEP 2: FIRST CLEANSE + REVIEW OF CLIENT’S SKIN TO SELECT PRODUCTS 

ACTION: Use your Smudge Budge to cleanse the skin. This cleanser should be used regardless of the skin type to help remove any makeup from the skin and allow you to inspect their clear skin. 

Massage approximately 2ml (a blueberry sized amount) of Smudge Budge over the face, eyes and décolletage. Add warm water to fingers and massage again to emulsify. Use a warm, damp compress to remove. 

EDUCATION: Once your client’s skin is clean and fresh, take a moment to review their skin again.

- AT 10 MINUTES -

STEP 3: EXFOLIATE  

ACTION: Select the appropriate Facial In A Jar for your client and before applying, let the client know that the mask may tingle and to alert you if it becomes uncomfortable. 

Take a pump of the gel mask (approximately 3ml) and, using your fingers, massage it onto your client’s skin. Starting by applying to the  t-zone, jawline, sides of the face then finishing with the cheeks. Continue down the neck to the décolletage if required. Avoid the eye and lip area. 

Leave the mask on the skin for 3-5 mins. Do not leave your client while it is on their skin.  

EDUCATION: Explain to your client that this exfoliating step should only be performed every 2nd night as part of their Skin Juice Daily Diet routine. If they are not a heavy makeup wearer, they can apply their Facial In A Jar to their skin before cleansing. 

Exfoliating the skin helps to removed dead skin cells and debris from the surface of the skin, helping to improve skin tone and texture, and allowing the nutrients in your other products to be effectively absorbed into the skin.  

Inform your client that you have used a product that is suitable for home care, but they may like to experience its corresponding professional treatment as part of the Juice Break Facial. 

- AT 15 MINUTES -

STEP 4: SECOND CLEANSE 

ACTION: Select a suitable Juice Cleanser to compliment your client’s skin type. Warm 3ml of your chosen cleanser in your fingertips and massage over the face, neck and décolletage. Add warm water to fingers and massage again. Use a warm, damp compress to remove. 

EDUCATION: Explain to your client that you can use your cleansing step to help remove the exfoliant from the skin. 

The Juice Cleanse is step 1 at night to remove makeup and impurities, leaving the skin feeling fresh, soft and clean. Juice Cleansers deeply clean without removing the skin’s protective oils. Generally, there is no need to double cleanse (the first cleanse in this case was to allow you to review their skin). When using the Daily Diet there is also no need to cleanse again in the morning – just rinse with water and onto the next step. 

- AT 20 MINUTES -

STEP 5: SKIN DRINK 

ACTION: Dispense 1-2 pumps (approximately 3ml) of Bio Juice onto your fingertips, or 2 pumps (approximately 3ml) of Multi Juice onto a cotton pad and massage over the face. 

EDUCATION: Explain to your client Skin Drinks are step 2 at night and the first step in the morning as part of the Skin Juice Daily Diet. These are used in place of toners and have been designed to instantly replace water loss for an immediate hydration boost. 

STEP 6: NOURISH  

ACTION: Select a Night Nutrition product suitable for your client’s skin and apply to face and eye area (approximately 1ml).

EDUCATION: Explain to your client Night Nutrition is step 3 at night and using a face oil or balm replaces the need for a night cream. Night Nutrition feeds the skin while you sleep by infusing bio-compatible and nutrient-rich oils into the deeper layers of the skin, and unlike a night cream does not contain emulsifiers that can block the skin’s natural oil flow.

STEP 7: MOISTURISE

ACTION: Select a Day Quencher suitable for your client's skin and apply to the face and eye area (approximately 1ml).

EDUCATION: Explain to your client that Day Quenchers are step 2 in the morning after a Skin Drink.

The nutrient dense plant butters and oils of these moisturisers melt into the skin to feed and strengthen the natural barrier function, protecting the skin against pollutants and daily moisture loss.

- AT 25 MINUTES -  

STEP 7: COMPLETION – HOME CARE + PRODUCT RECOMMENDATIONS 

Prescribe Skin Juice home-care products to take home.
