Use alone, in lieu of foundation, or as a makeup primer. You can also layer Sun Juice over your day cream for extra hydration. Apply every 2-3 hours for protected skin that smiles. Keep Sun Juice in your bag, for easy reapplication.

That's a tricky one to answer as SPF is a measure of protection and not a measure to help you determine how long you can spend in the sun. There are a number of other factors that also affect your level of protection, including: your skin type, your location and the time of year, the weather conditions and the intensity of sunlight, how much you sweat and if you apply the correct amount (SPFs are determined by tests in which a liberal amount of sunscreen is applied).

You can reapply throughout the day as often as needed. If out in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time we recommend applying Sun Juice hourly.

Physical sunscreens provide a physical barrier between your skin and the sun. They contain mineral filters and sit on the surface of the skin, reflecting and scattering UV rays, and are naturally broad-spectrum, protecting against both UVA and UVB rays. This is how Sun Juice works.

Unlike physical sunscreens, chemical versions penetrate the epidermis and absorb UV rays rather than reflecting them. A chemical reaction then occurs within the body whereby the chemical compounds of the sunscreen convert the UV rays to heat, which is then released from the skin in order to protect it.

We recently completed months of research on an SPF 30, however, to move forward would have meant compromises would be made, in terms of ingredients. There may be a time in the future we can revisit this as we are consistently researching new ingredient technology.
