FAQ + Troubleshooting

Why doesn't my wash sud up?

Our Mummy's Tummy Wash is quite unique as it doesn't contain any soap or detergent and won't sud up like a typical wash. Its creamy formula won't strip the skin's precious oils, helping to soften and moisturise dry and dehydrated skin.

Why do I apply my wash to dry skin?

Water, particularly hot water, can have a drying effect on the skin. Mummy's Tummy Wash is designed to be applied with dry hands to a dry body to allow the moisturising ingredients help protect dry and dehydrated skin from further irritation or moisture loss.

Why are PEGs and SLS bad?

PEGs or polyethylene glycols are petroleum-based compounds that are widely used in cosmetics as thickeners, solvents, softeners, and moisture-carriers. It has been found that PEGs contain impurities, which include ethylene oxide and 1,4-dioxane. These two are known carcinogens and respiratory irritants.

SLS or Sodium Lauryl Sulfate is a surfactant that helps products foam or 'suds up'. It's also known to strip the skin of its natural oils which can cause dry skin, irritation and allergic reactions. "
