What if you could feed your skin like you do your body? What would your skin need to thrive and be the healthiest it can be?

These were some of the questions I asked myself 23 years ago, and that lead to the creation of Skin Juice.

Skin Juice products work on the same principle as a healthy diet does to nourish the body; feeding the skin all the natural essential nutrients it requires to be healthy and balanced for that fresh, dewy glow.

But like every good diet, the key to success is balance, simplicity and, well let’s face it, convenience.

The Skin Juice Daily Diet is an easy daily regime, consisting of 4 products – a Juice Cleanse, Skin Drink, Night Nutrition, and a Day Quencher.

It’s 3 steps at night, to help you unwind and finish the day, and 2 simple steps in the morning, to get you up and glowing quickly.

Night Regime

Step 1 – Juice Cleanse

Cleansing is the first, important step to healthy skin. Juice Cleansers deeply clean without removing the skin’s protective oils. Foaming or ‘suds up’ type cleansers can strip and dry the skin, exposing it to bad bacteria and leaving it feeling dry, red and irritated.

Instead, Skin Juice cleansers melt on contact with the skin to gently dissolve makeup and impurities, leaving it feeling fresh, soft and clean. You will get a deeper more effective cleanse if you apply your Juice Cleanser onto a dry face using dry hands (so it’s a good idea to leave the cleanser on the basin). You can then remove once in the shower, or over basin, by adding water and massaging again. Then rinse to remove or aid the removal by using a cloth or sponge.

You only need to cleanse at night when following the Daily Diet regime – no need to do it again in the morning. You can read more about skipping the morning cleanse here.

 

Step 2 – Skin Drink

Like the body, water is vital to maintain the skin’s natural and healthy functions. Throughout the day, water can be lost from the skin. Lack of water can cause the skin to look dull and sallow, feel rough and age faster, creating fine and deep lines. Antioxidant charged Skin Drinks have been designed to instantly replace water for an immediate hydration boost.

After cleansing, apply a Skin Drink directly to the skin and allow the goodness to absorb.

 

Step 3 – Night Nutrition

Your skin is in repair mode at night and requires nutritious nourishment without blocking the skin’s natural oil flow. Face creams contain emulsifiers that can coat and inhibit the skin’s natural renewal process, so they really shouldn’t be used at night (more on that here). Skin Juice Night Nutrition replaces the need for a night cream.

These oil-based products are biocompatible, meaning the skin recognises them, so they can be safely digested and absorbed by the skin’s natural pathways. This means Night Nutrition can help feed the skin a rich diet of nutrients at a deeper level than creams can reach, helping to nourish dryness and balance oiliness, calm sensitivity and plump out the signs of ageing.

To apply, use a small amount and press onto the skin to aid its penetration and allow to absorb naturally. Night Nutrition does all of its work while you sleep, so you can wake up to a clear, soft dewy glow.

 

Morning Routine

☼ Step 1 – Skin Drink

While you were sleeping, your skin was working hard to renew its protective barrier (otherwise known as the acid mantle). We don’t want to disrupt this in the morning by cleansing again.

Instead, start the morning with a refreshing Skin Drink, rich in antioxidants and antibacterial juices, to provide you with an instant hydration boost to help maintain skin plumping moisture for the day ahead.

 

 Step 2 – Day Quencher

Skin Juice Day Quenchers, also known as moisturisers, contain nutrient dense plant butters and oils that will melt onto the skin to strengthen and feed its natural barrier, protecting the skin against environmental dryness, pollutants and moisture loss. Skin Juice moisturisers are non-greasy and won’t block the skin. They are naturally metabolised and absorbed as the skin warms throughout the day. They are designed to target specific skin concerns while providing hydration for soft, silky, smooth skin.

I really believe in the simplicity of building the foundation for healthy skin with four daily essentials base products, but like your body, sometimes your skin needs a booster or extra care, such as exfoliation and eye care, to help supercharge it’s performance and target specific skin deficiencies.
